My favourite books include the Harry Potter series by J.K.Rowling, The Dragon Chronicles by Chris d'Lacey, and The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. These three Authors are all in the Fantasy Fiction genre. But this is not the only type of books that I like.
There are a number of genres to choose from when you are deciding what to read.
The Genre of a book is what kind of content the book contains. Genres are:

Comics and Manga are Fiction but they are image based instead of word based. This therefore makes them a different genre.

~ Marvel(TM).
